July 19, 2008  Bob & I  will be in Yakima Washington July 26-27.  We will show our current star Fantasia & our rising star, a 5 month old Shasta/Gladiator kitten named Harmony.  We will also show these girls at the Langley, BC show Aug.9-10.  In Victoria, on September 27-28, we will be showing Storm and some up and coming kittens at the ACFA show at the Archie Browning Centre.  Hope to see you  at one of the shows.

We expect to have our last two to three silver litters by the beginning of 2009.   If you have been holding off, you may not want to wait much longer.

We have decided to reduce the size of our cattery back to a smaller, more easily managed one.  To do this, we must give up breeding our beloved silvers.  Our gorgeous Gladiator will go to my friend Jeanette in Australia's Britz Cattery, with the support of Allan White, his breeder (Robocat).  Breeding kittens are going to New Zealand and Mexico City.  All other silvers will be neutered or spayed and placed over the next several months.

June 29, 2008 We had a truly remarkable show.  Fantasia is now a Triple Grand Champion after taking Best of Breed 14/15 judging rings, winning Best AllBreed Cat in 5 rings (amazing!!!!) as well as winning 4 other top 10 cat finals in other judging rings, taking a 4th, 5th, 6th & 7th.  At just over a year of age, she is truly a star.  We'll be taking her to Yakima in July and to Langley in August.  Her mother Destiny also did well, taking 2nd Best of Breed 13/15 rings, Best once, and 3rd once.  She also got a Top 10 AllBreed Cat Final, making her a Double Grand Champion.  Our magnificent but shy Classic Silver Tabby Storm took 3rd Best 14/15 rings, and 2nd once.... a great showing for a silver against 2 magnificent blues.  One of our first silver kittens, a silver spotted boy shown as an Alter (neutered) cat also took a Best AllBreed Alter in one judging ring, making him a Supreme Grand Champion.  We just couldn't have asked for a more successful show.  Our next show in Yakima will be the debut for SterlingBrits Heavenly Harmony, a Shasta/Gladiator kitten.  See you there.

Note:  After the show, we made some decisions on which kittens to keep for ourselves, and which to make available as pets.  See Kittens Available for an update on kittens available.

June 13, 2008 Remember to come to the Mad Hatter's Tea Party Annual TICA Cat Show in Victoria at a gorgeous air-conditioned venue (Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney). For all the details, see our Press Release under FAVORITE LINKS (top right). We'll have six of our cats & kittens there for you. June 6, 2008  SHOWTIME IN VICTORIA JUNE 21-22, 2008 Sat/Sun 9am-4pm: The Garden City Cat Club presents the annual Mad Hatter's Tea Party Cat Show at a new location - The Mary Winspeare Centre in Sidney at 2243 Beacon Ave..  Please come & help support this show so it can continue!  We'll have lots of cats in the show including Storm - silver tabby male newly arrived from England, Destiny - blue female, Fantasia - blue female, Lonestar - 5 mos old silver tabby boy (from Panache & Zeus).  We will also have 2 young Shasta/Gladiator kittens (15 weeks) on exhibition - a classic silver tabby & white and a blue-silver tabby and white - VERY pretty!  Hope to see you there! May 5, 2008 Panache gave birth to 4 lovely babies - 2 boys & 2 girls.  All are reserved or pending confirmation. Apr 15/08 Destiny/Vinny kittens were born Mar.27/08 (4 boys,1 girl, all solid blue).  Zeta/Storm kittens were born Apr.3/08 (4 girls-3 silver tabby & 1 smoke, & 1 silver tabby boy).  Almost all are reserved & confirmed.  If you have asked to be on our waiting list & are still waiting, please contact us soon! Mar.12/08  Our beautiful 10 month old FANTASIA dazzled judges and spectators alike in Vancouver last weekend, becoming a one-show Grand Champion just like her mom Destiny.  Fantasia is a true show girl, loving every minute. Vinny also did well - a phenomenal show all in all with many gorgeous ribbons coming home for both cats.  We celebrated Vinny's Supreme Grand Champion title with a giant carrot cake.  Hope you were there & got some! Congratulations to the Cat Fanciers of BC Club in Surrey celebrating their 50th Anniversary.  Decorations & ribbons for the show were breath-taking! Mar.4/08  YO VINNY !!! - now a Supreme Grand Champion!!!  Yeah!!!  He did very well again at the Seattle Show, gaining yet another Best Cat in Show final.  Our sincere and grateful thanks go to judge Yvonne Patrick for the Best Cat final, and for her sage advice on handling Vinny in the show ring at a previous show.  We will serve cake to celebrate Vinny's new title at the cat show this weekend at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds Show Barn in Surrey, BC on Mar.7th-9th (Fri 4-10, Sat 10-6, Sun 9-5).  We will also be showing our beautiful young Fantasia (Saxon's sister).  See you there!  Vinny's cake will be served on Friday night. Our lovely Shasta, a gorgeous blue & white girl, gave birth to a litter on Friday.  Conceived Christmas Day, born Feb.29th - these are very special babies. Mated to Gladiator, a silver tabby, colours are most interesting and not entirely clear yet, though all have particolour markings (blue & white, black & white), some with tabby markings as well!  We'll take pictures in a few days. Feb.2/08 Vinny did great in Portland... and so did Saxon.  Between the two of them, they took Best of Breed and were awarded a Top Ten Cat Final in 11/12 rings.  Three judges ranked them both among the top 10 championship cats in the show.  Vinny took Best Cat in 2 rings, Saxon got Best Cat in 1 ring.  Overall Vinny took 1st, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 4th, & 7th, bringing him to Quadruple Grand Champion status & oh-so-close to being a Supreme Grand Champion.  Saxon took 1st, 2nd, 4th, 6th, 7th, 7th, and 8th, a one-show Grand Champion now ranked a Double Grand Champion.  Nice work boys!  Our deepest thanks to Pamela Barret for showing both boys in the amazing way she does.  Vinny,  Saxon & I will all be at the show in Seattle Feb.9th-10th.  See you there! Jan.26/08 Vinny made a trip to Portland Oregon this weekend, and was shown by his breeder, Pamela Barrett at the TICA Show there.  Results will be posted as soon as I have them.  We cannot thank Pamela enough for entrusting us with this outstanding boy, helping us work with him and getting him out to more shows that we could possibly manage.  Pamela will keep Vinny for the next 6 weeks and hopes to show him at the upcoming Reading, PA Show Feb.1-3rd, the Seattle Show Feb.9-10th, and finally, she will take him to Germany for the British Shorthair Conference Feb.15-17th.  Vinny return to us at the Cloverdale, BC Show Mar.7th-9th.  Come & see this gorgeous boy! Dec/07 Saxon - Amazing!  SterlingBrits Saxon of Excalibur was a top 10 Kitten in all 12 judging rings, taking a 1st, 2nd x3, 3rd x2, 4th x2, 6th x2, 7th & 8th, and finally - Best of the Best Kitten in Show Seattle Dec.8-9.  Saxon, a Destiny/Gunner boy currently stands as TICA's Best International British Shorthair Kitten. Nov.17/07 We had another wonderful show in Vancouver.  We brought 2 year old Destiny who took Best of Breed 9/15 times against 2 Triple Grand Champion males (including one of ours!).  She also took six top-10 All Breed final awards (2nd, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th & 10th in a class of 71 cats)... a most impressive showing for a Brit girl.  She's our newest Grand Champion!!!  Her gorgeous son Saxon was also in the show, in a huge class of 80 kittens.  He also won six top-10 All Breed Kitten finals including two Best Kitten in Show and two 2nd Best Kitten in Show.  Pictures coming soon.  My thanks to Pamela Barrett of Excalibur for taking such magnificent care of Saxon, and a special thanks to my many good friends who helped me at the show - Galena, Patti, Laura, Marilyn and more. Oct.22/07 We had a fantastic show in Seattle!  Our gorgeous Vinny (GC Excalibur Yo Vinny of SterlingBrits), just 10 months old,  took Best of Breed with 11/12 judges, winning 6 All Breed Top Ten Final awards including Best Championship Cat in show from 2 different judges.  Not to be outdone, Destiny's 2 kittens (Saxon & Fantasia), 6 months old, both did extremely well in the kitten class (7 Brit kittens in show, all beautiful, 6 of them blue), so competition was really tough. Saxon took Best of Breed Kitten in 6/6 judging rings (shown Sunday only), with Fantasia getting mostly 2nd spot, with a few thirds (it's tough for girls to compete against males, so we're doubly proud of her).  Fantasia did get one Best of Breed kitten award on Saturday when her brother was absent.  My deepest gratitude to Pamela Barrett for showing Saxon so well, and for trusting us with her outstanding boy Vinny.  We will have Vinny and the kitten's mom Destiny at the Richmond Show Nov.9-11.  See you there! Oct 17/07 We will be at the TICA Show at the Seattle Centre Pavillion on Sat. & Sun Oct.20-21/07 with Vinny & Fantasia.  We will also be at the Vancouver Show at the Richmond Inn Nov.9-11/07 (Fri-Sun) with Vinny & Destiny.  We look forward to meeting you there!  September 18/07 Both Desiree and Shimmer had their kittens on the same day, just a few hours apart.  We had to rush Desiree to the hospital in the wee hours of Monday morning for a caesarian.  Fortunately, all 4 kittens were saved: 2 blues, and 2 blue & whites, one male and one female of each.  Shimmer went into labour only an hour after Desiree came home, giving birth to 5 lovely kittens: 4 classic tabbies and one silver spotted (genders not all confirmed yet).  We've had virtually no sleep for a couple of days, so we hope those waiting for kittens will contact us to confirm you are still waiting for a kitten, but allow us a few days to respond to everyone. August 21/07 Our gorgeous 8 month old blue lad Vinny had an outstanding show in Portland, becoming a Grand Champion in one 12-ring show.  Though only an adult by 5 days, he won Best of Breed British 6 times, finalled in 6 All Breed Cat Rings and won 2nd Best Cat in Show 3 times. Our thanks to Pamela Barrett of Excalibur for this remarkable boy.  Panache, an outstanding silver tabby girl, took several 2nd & 3rd of Breed, an exceptional result for any silver Brit girl.  Our beautiful kitten Fantasia and her brother Saxon both had outstanding days, winning All Breed Kitten finals in 11 of 12 rings.  Both kittens were awarded Best Kitten in Show by different judges (out of 80 kittens). Saxon, now an Excalibur boy, also won a 2nd, 4th, 6th(2x) and 9th.  Fantasia also won a 3rd, 6th, 7th and 8th Best Kitten in Show.  An amazing day for all of the cats we entered. August 2/07 On August 4th-5th, we will be at the Langley Show (Vancouver, BC) with Zeus and Diva.  We'll have many pictures there and lots of information about kittens on the way!  We will also be in Portland, Oregon Aug.18th-19th with Zeus, our new blue kittens Fantasia and Saxon (from Destiny's April litter).  We also expect to bring one other cat - possibly our new blue stud boy Excalibur YoVinny (8 months), or one of the girls - either Destiny (blue girl) or a silver tabby girl (Leia or Panache).

Sep 24/06 Beautiful, amazing "Princess" Leia surprised us by delivering six gorgeous silver tabbies, her first litter. She carried them amazingly well and was very active to the last moment (we had guessed 4). Mama and babies are doing very well. Baron is the proud father.

Aug 27/06 Our beautiful Zoe gave birth to 5 big, healthy kittens - 3 blues and 2 blue & white bi-colour. All are doing well. Champion SterlingBrits "Zoe" Sweet Cheeks just received an award for Best Blue British Shorthair in TICA's Northwest Region for 2005, a remarkable feat given that she was only shown twice. Congratulations to QGA SterlingBrits Maximus, who became a Quadruple Grand Champion Alter at TICA's Aug.13th show in Vancouver. Many thanks to his proud owner Barbara Kirby who shows him so well and keeps him in such outstanding condition.

Aug 7/06 The owners of our kittens often write us with wonderful stories about the adventures of their cats & kittens. Recently we learned that one of our kittens from last year litterly saved home & family. See the new new Section "Owner's Corner" for the full story.

June 25/06 We've had a long week with Diva, who had some significant birthing problems that kept us a full day at the vet. We brought her home with just one silver tabby boy, Baron's first kitten. He is healthy & strong, and we gave Diva one of Shimmer's girls, just 9 days older, to balance the load, make Diva happy, and give the little man a playmate. All have adjusted beautifully.

June 13/06 Shimmer woke us up at 3:40 am this morning & started contractions almost immediately, giving birth to her first kitten 20 minutes later. She had 4 kittens: 2 silver tabbies (1 boy, 1 girl) and 2 silver spotties (1 boy, 1 girl). All are a good size and nursing strongly on their proud mama.

May 12/06 We've added some more current pictures of our youngest girls Leia & Magic. Both should have kittens later this summer or in the fall. Check under kitten availability for some very cute blue & white bi-colour kittens available now through my friend at Liebelin Cattery.

Feb.19/06 We just returned from an ACFA Show in Monroe, Washington with 3 young girls born last year, now all champions. Zoe, (blue from Mysty/Zuma) took Best of Breed in 7 of 8 judging rings. Zoe also took 4 top 10 All Breed final ribbons, taking her more than half way to Grand Champion status. Leia, (silver tabby from Zeta & Gladiator)took Best of Breed 1x, and 2nd (to Zoe) 3x in 4 rings. Magic (silver tabby from Diva/Gladiator) took 2nd (to Zoe) 4x in 4 rings. All 3 girls are very beautiful, but because of the standards, it is very hard for the silver girls to compete until they are 2-3 years old, when their stunning green eye colour finally develops. They lose significant points until then. So, at 10 & 11 months respectively, our two silver girls did very well.

Congratulations to my friend Margaret Bennett of Liebelin Cattery, who had a banner day in the Alter & Kitten class, doing especially well with Zoe's altered grandmother Lily (Liebelin's Blu Dresden Doll), who made Grand Champion yesterday (to be confirmed) and with her blue kittens who together, made all breed finals in all 8 judging rings, twice with both of them (6 finals for Fancy, 4 for Guv-nor in 8 rings). Nice to see the girls doing especially well for a change!

Jan.27/06 We are delighted to announce that Zeta gave birth to an outstanding litter of 5 silver tabbies sired by Gladiator today. All kittens are spoken for. People waiting patiently should re-connect with us at the earliest opportunity.

Jan.1/06 Happy New Year!!! Thank you to everyone who helped make 2005 a year of precious memories. We hope that 2006 brings all of you joy, good health, contentment and much success, and may your fondest dreams become a reality. We are looking forward to a very special 2006 & hope that yours will be too!

Dec.24/05 Merry Christmas to everyone. Thank you so much for all your well-wishes & pictures of your Sterling Brits kittens & cats. It is such a joy to hear from you & to see our kittens evolve into such beautiful cats. Bob & I wish you all a sterling new year filled with love, health, happiness & everything you need.

Dec.14/05 We are pleased to announce that Zeta is expecting kittens in late January. These kittens will be ready for their new homes in late April/early May. If you have been waiting awhile & have not connected with us lately, please let us know that you are still waiting patiently!

Dec.13/05 Congratulations to SterlingBrits Maximus, for achieving Grand Champion status at the TICA Show in Richmond, BC. My thanks go to his owner, Barbara Kirby, for showing him so well and taking such good care of him.

Oct.25/05 Luna & her young lad are doing very well now after their ordeal & we'll take pictures of them in a few days. Note the new pictures of Gladiator & Baron in the "Our Boys" section. At 18 & 19 months respectively, they are really starting to get their Brit jowls. For those of you close to Lower Mainland BC, we will be at the TICA Show in Richmond on Fri Nov.11 & Sat Nov.12th (but not Sunday). We will be showing Zeta (silver tabby female), Princess Leia (silver tabby kitten) and Zoe (blue female). Hope to see you there!

Oct.15/05 After waiting as long as we possibly could (70 days) and after several sleepless nights, we reluctantly took lovely Luna to the vet yesterday and attempted unsuccessfully to induce labour. Luna had a caesarian yesterday, with just one kitten born who struggled hard to stay with us through the anaesthesia, but appears to be doing well now, with mom's gentle care. We're very sad here that we had to put Luna through that, and hope that she heals well & quickly with a healthy kitten to care for & keep her happy. Thank you to everyone who sent emails of support, help & well-wishes. Special thanks to my dear friends Ursula Graves (Sargenta, UK), and Margaret Bennett (Liebelin, Canada) who guided & supported me through every possible course of action & treatment this past week. It meant a great deal.

Oct.11/05 Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian friends. We all had turkey here tonight... cats too! Gladiator and Baron, our new young silver stud males, both became Champions at their first ACFA Show here in Victoria BC this weekend. It was delightful to see so many incredible British Shorthairs shown, including one of our kittens from last year: SterlingBrits Maximus (Max), silver spotted proudly shown by Barb Kirby. Max came home a Champion (Alter)... and did rather well patiently dressed as "A Man about Town" in a top hat & scarf for the cat costume contest. Congratulations too to my friend Margaret Bennett of Liebelin Cattery for her blue Brit Champion Gabrielle and her outstanding blue Brit alter Lily (Mysty's mom & Zoe's grandmother - Liebelin Blu Dresden Doll) who consistently took Best of Breed... a lovely girl indeed. I will try to get some pictures up in the gallery tomorrow. We are still waiting for Luna to have her kittens, now running a day late. It may be a long night!

Oct.1/05 People in Victoria/Vancouver can meet us at the ACFA Show in Victoria on Oct.8th (with Gladiator) & 9th (with Baron) at the Pearkes Arena. One of us hopes to be there all weekend, but we are on kitten watch with Luna, due Oct.10th. We also plan to be at the TICA Show at the Richmond Inn in Vancouver on November 11th & 12th with SterlingBrits Princess Leia (7 months), likely with her mother Zeta. We may show Gladiator as well. Hope to see you there!

Apr.13/06 Our new blue girl, 4 month old Stonehaven Destiny of SterlingBrits did extremely well at the TICA International Cat Show in Victoria last weekend. She took 4-Best of Breed, 8-2nd Best of Breed and 5 All Breed Kitten Final Ribbons against incredible competition. Truly amazing results for such a young kitten. My thanks to Barbara Sinbine of Stonehaven for providing me with such a lovely girl.

July 31/07 We are thrilled to learn that Zeta (6 years old) and Zeus (1.25 years old) won TICA International awards for 2007.  Zeta won Best Silver Tabby British Shorthair, 2007 and Zeus won Best Silver Spotted Tabby British Shorthair, 2007.  We will update their pictures soon We have retired Baron, Diva, Magic and Porsche.  All have found wonderful new homes except Diva (our very first silver tabby girl from Sargenta), who will stay with us as a treasured pet and be shown in the Alter class.  We hope to have pictures up soon of our new silver spotted male (Zeus) and our new blue stud male (Yo Vinny), as well as pictures of Panache, a gorgeous silver tabby girl from Zeta & Gladiator who we will be breeding soon.  Watch for Fantasia, Destiny's daughter too!

Please forgive the long gap of time with no news.  Our beautiful Shasta, who did so incredibly well at the last show, got an eye scratch during play, resulting in an infection we couldn't resolve.  Despite heroic measures and many medical treatments, specialists were unable to save her eye and it had to be removed.  I'm afraid this absolutely broke my heart.  Although she can never be shown now, and can never gain the titles she so deserves, she is still an outstanding Brit, and a sweet-tempered, gentle girl that we hope will enhance our breeding program tremendously.

April 19/07 We were at the TICA Show in Victoria last weekend, with incredible results.  We again showed Zeus, a 1 year old silver spotted Brit who became a Champion in Surrey last month.  Despite his youth and very stiff competition, Zeus took Best of Breed in 6 rings (an amazing feat for a silver of any age against blue & lilac males) and brought home 2 All-Breed Cat final ribbons.  We also showed our new 4 month old kittens.  Excalibur Yo Vinny of SterlingBrits, our new blue stud male, is a full brother to Excalibur Brother Buzz shown under "Our Boys".  Vinny won Best of Breed 3x and 3 All-Breed Kitten final ribbons (pretty amazing for 4 months + 1 day in a 4-8 month class.  He was outdone only by his remarkable sister Excalibur Shasta of SterlingBrits, an incredibly adorable blue & white Brit female with an amazing head & remarkable body.  Shasta took Best of Breed Kitten 7x and brought home 7 All-Breed Kitten final ribbons.  Absolutely outstanding!!!  Our sincerest thanks to Pamela Barrett for entrusting us with these outstanding babies to enhance both our blue and our silver breeding program.  We'll get pictures of Zeus, Vinny & Shasta up on the web soon!  You'll be hearing more about all of them in future.

Mar 5/07 We will be at the TICA Cat Show at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds in Surrey, BC this weekend (Friday evening & Saturday only).  We will have a young silver tabby male (Rocky-8 mths), a young silver spotted male (Zeus-11 mths) and a young blue lady (Desiree-1 yr, 5 mths) in the show.  Hope to see you there.  If you are interested in adopting our lovely Magic (see Adult Adoption), please email or see me at the show.

Feb 19/07 We took 3 of our youngsters and 1 kitten to an ACFA Show in Monroe Washington this past weekend.  All 3 young cats came home Champions including Panache (a silver tabby girl from Gladiator & Zeta), Zeus (a silver spotted grandson of Diva/Gladiator from Autumleaf Cattery) and last but not least, Destiny (a gorgeous blue girl from Stonehaven) who took Best of Breed in 6 of 10 judging rings & 2nd in the remaining 4 rings against a big bruising 4 year old black male British Shorthair - Grand Champion Castway's Eclipse (shown in 5 rings only) - extremely tough competition for a young lady.  Winning 6 all-breed top 10 final ribbons, Destiny is well on her way to becoming a Grand Champion.

Jan 7/07 We finally managed to take some new pictures of Gladiator.  Please see our pride & joy under "Our Boys".  Also have a look at SGC Excalibur Brother Buzz, a handsome lad who paid us a special visit last fall & left behind some lovely blue kittens.  We're hoping for a return engagement with our lovely Destiny soon. For those of you in the Pacific Northwest, we will be bringing some lovely young cats to an ACFA Show in Monroe Washington on Feb.17-18.  We will be introducing our up & coming silver tabby male kitten "Rocky" (son of Diva & Baron), "Panache" (a Zeta/Gladiator silver tabby girl), and our stunning blue girl "Destiny".  We also plan to attend the TICA Show at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds in Surrey, BC on March 9-11.  Hope to see you there!

Dec.24/06 Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Sterling Brits (Bob, Lyn and all of our cats & kittens).  We are grateful for good friends, good health and much love in our lives, and wish the same for all of you, through the holiday season and throughout the coming year.  We have been blessed with many beautiful kittens in 2006 that have all gone to loving homes.  Thank you to those of you who continue to delight us with pictures and stories of these gorgeous, intelligent, loyal & loving cats.  We love to see them develop into outstanding adults.  I promise to get more pictures in the "Owners Corner" soon, so please keep sending them!

Nov 15/06 Thank you to everyone sending positive thoughts & prayers to our beautiful Magic (a Diva/Gladiator girl) who lost her uterine plug much too soon (12 days ago).  Her miracle babies (4 beautiful classic silver tabbies sired by Baron) were born last night and all are doing well.  We also had a wonderful litter of 6 blue kittens last weekend, so we have our hands full!  Zeta did well in Portland against amazing competition (a breath-taking representation of outstanding Brits).  It was Zeta's first TICA show, and she came home a Champion!  The Portland Show was the best organized and most beautiful show I've ever experienced.  Congratulations to Pamela Barrett, show manager, fellow Brit breeder and trusted mentor.  Pamela's fabulous boy, Excalibur Brother Buzz, who took Best of Breed many times in the show, is the sire of our new blue litter.  We are extremely grateful to Pam for the opportunity to use her incredible boy and are looking forward with delight to see these babies develop.

Oct. 21/06 For those of you in the Portland area, we will be at the TICA show in Portland, Oregon next weekend (Oct.28 & 29th) and will have our gorgeous 5 year old "Champion Robocat Zeta of SterlingBrits", mother of Leia and Panache, and grandmother to Leia's beautiful litter.  The outstanding sire of our upcoming blue kittens will also be there.  Hope we see you there!

Sept.21/05 We had an overwhelming response for our last available kitten. Thank you for your interest in Sterling Brits and in our little beauty. We will be working through her options over the next few days.

Sept.10/05 We're almost settled in our new home, though we still have some outdoor facilities to build for the cats. Our breeding program is underway again, with Luna (& Gladiator) expecting in mid-October. We have just one kitten available at the moment... a very lovely classic silver tabby girl from the Shimmer/Gladiator litter who is ready to go at the end of September. If you are interested, please see her under "Kitten Available" and contact us soon.

Aug 15th/05 We've just returned from a 2-day TICA show in Vancouver. We are delighted that SterlingBrits Zoe Sweet Cheeks, a 1-year blue girl that we hope to mate soon, was made a Champion despite extremely stiff competition.

Aug 1st/05 In this past week, we have moved to a new home. Cats were the priority & we made sure that their transition was as stress-free as possible. They have all adjusted extremely well, but we are completely exhausted. We have delayed some planned matings during this period, but we do hope to start again soon. At this time, we do not expect to have any kittens available until January 2006.

July 1st/05 Happy Canada Day to our fellow Canadians. It is an especially nice day for us. Not only is it a holiday, and our wedding anniversary, but Shimmer gave us five very lovely healthy kittens (4 silver spotted, 1 silver tabby) during the night. We will contact people waiting for kittens just as soon as we know the exact number of boys & girls born!

June 22/05 Thank you for your interest in Mysty. She has found a wonderful new family.

June 19/05 Happy Father's Day to all the dad's out there. We hope that your day is all that you hope for. Within a few days, we will be putting up current pictures of our girl Mysty (as seen under "Our Girls" and the "Picture Gallery"), who will soon be available for adoption. She's not quite 2 years old yet, and a Grand Champion, but she's been spayed, because babies just weren't in the cards for her. Watch for upcoming pictures & more information under "Adult Adoption".

April 21/05 Zeta gave birth to just two kittens, a male and a female, both classic silver tabbies with stunning markings. Zeta went into labour just after lunch and finished birthing before dinner... an amazing & delightful surprise not to have to be up all night!!! Mama and babes are all doing very well. Both kittens are reserved.

March 30/05 Diva had her kittens yesterday in the wee hours of the morning... all classic silver tabbies, all beautifully marked, all girls and all spoken for. Mom & babes are healthy & doing well.

March 28/05 We hope that everyone had a very happy Easter and an enjoyable long weekend. We are celebrating Bob's birthday close to home today, because we have kittens due imminently!

March 15/05 The Cloverdale Show in Vancouver had the most amazing selection of cats I've personally ever witnessed - a very impressive showing of cats from many parts of Western North America. At 11 months, Gladiator did amazingly well against extremely strong competition, with many seconds & one first in 18 judging rings. My sincerest congratulations go to Pamela Barrett of Excalibur, with her outstanding "Brother Buzz", best Brit in Show, and the most impressive British Blue I've ever seen! My deepest thanks also go to Pamela for the support, advice & wisdom she provided me throughout the show.

Feb.28/05 For those of you who are asking, we'll be at the TICA Show on April 9-10 at the Panorama Centre in Victoria BC where we'll have Baron (silver tabby), Shimmer (silver spotted), & Zoe (blue kitten). At both shows, you will also be able to meet Maximus (silver spotted), shown by his proud owner Barb Kirby. We look forward to meeting you there! Unfortunately, we can't make the April ACFA show in Bellingham, Washington Show this year, because we hope to be at home delivering Zeta's babies!

Feb.14/05 Happy Valentine's Day! We just returned from our first show of the year in Monroe, Washington. We're thrilled that our blue girl Mysty achieved her Grand Championship in just two shows! Two girls shown for the first time ever, Zeta (classic silver tabby) & Shimmer (silver spotted), both came home double Champions. Last but not least, our lovely blue kitten Zoe (Sterlingbrits Zoe Sweet Cheeks) lived up to her name & took Best of Breed British Shorthair kitten in all 8 judging rings, against very stiff competition! A very successful show all around!

Jan.9/05 Snow in Victoria! We rarely see snow in Victoria & when we do, it generally only lasts a few hours... or minutes. Three days ago, we were hit hard & were only able to get our vehicle out today. Only one of our cats (12 years old) has ever experienced snow before, so it's been quite amusing to let the cats out onto our enclosed sun deck. They are NOT impressed... and happily scurry back to a warm spot by the wood stove.

Jan.1/05 Happy New Year! We wish everyone a year of health, happiness and the realization of their fondest dreams. This year, we have two outstanding new silver tabby males from the UK and we can hardly wait to see their first kittens... likely in April.

Dec.24/04 We wish everyone a happy holiday season with loved ones... and all the very best in the coming year. A special thanks to all the new owners who are taking such good care of our 2004 kittens. It's great to hear from you and we're hoping for some great Christmas pictures of all the new families.
